Epilogue On to a New Frontier

After Miya went back home, I informed my mother and father, who had been involved with the matter this time, that there had been progress.

The mysteries still remain, but things have wrapped up for now.

[The personality that is usually out and about turns out to be the other personality......Looks like there are still mysteries, huh]

"Yes. That's why I'll continue to be cautious about Miya"

Miya's remaining mysteries. First up is about Miya's personality. Unlike split personalities in reality, hers is clearly a fictional character.

And the second mystery is...why didn't I wake up when ‘Original’ Miya did things like kissing me? If it were simply because I am quite a heavy sleeper, then that would be the end of it, but there is also the chance that that is not the case.

I cut the call reflexively after hearing a voice so loud I thought my eardrums would rupture.

But that energy is Mum's strength.

"Well then"

After checking the time with my smartphone, I put on my jacket and prepared to go out.

I must inform the two from the Degure family as well.

Miya should be ready to meet up with me any time now. It seems like she wants to repay me for the trouble she caused and for letting her stay over. I did say that it was all right, but I lost to her enthusiasm as usual.

As usual, I leave Cuare on her own and head out.

When I was about to walk out onto the walkway to head to the café.

Miya, who was supposed to wait for me over on the other side, was waiting for me.

She had changed into her outdoor clothes, and I felt nostalgic when I saw them. The jacket that Miya is wearing. It was one of the jackets with furry ears that Minaya-san made her wear because it was cute.

"You, that jacket"

"How is it, how is it? Isn't it nostalgic?"

The one she is wearing this time is one with rabbit ears. She pulls the hood slowly over her head and breaks into a smile.

"I have ones that are for adult use. Well, I had just bought this one, thoughhh; Bought it because Aone-chan recommended it to me. So, how is it?"

It seems like she was clearly trying to draw attention to it because she wanted me to say something about it.

"Yaaay! Hey, you talking bout the rabbit ears!?"

"It's about Miya, I say. Don't worry about it," I said as I ruffled Miya's head roughly.

"Whaaa! Rubbing attack all of a suddenn!?"

She sounds quite cheerful for someone who says that she was being attacked.

Remembering my elementary school days—

"Hahahah! How's that? Do you surrender!?" I said with the same enthusiasm I had back then.

"Youuu! This is paybackkk!"

Miya's payback is hitting me with the rabbit ears. 

Hmm, what a weird level of pain.

"Hey, hey, it's not working, you know?" I taunted her as if I wanted more.

"Oh?"

She hugged me all of a sudden. Pushing her face against me, I thought she wanted to say something, but she said nothing. She does not say anything all of a sudden, so I scratched my cheek, not knowing how to react.

"Please continue to spend time with me, okay?"

"Miya?"

"Alrighttt!! Let's have fun today as well!"

She muttered something before moving away from me.

Was that just now......’Original’? Or...

Curious, I used my ability to take a look.

"......There's no change, huh"

Similar to the other day, her name is not blurry, and her mind is stable.

"Heeey. Let's hurry up and gooo!"

"Yeah, I'm coming"

Well, it doesn't matter for now. It's not about who is who. Miya is Miya.

Just as I start talking to Miya, who was ahead of me, after walking up to her side.

"Rei?"

Now then, it is a new frontier from here on out. What kind of things will I be able to see? I must further prepare myself mentally, huh.
